Why The Importance of Feeling Good?

We are a feeling universe. We are a vibrational universe. We originated from a non-physical world into a physical world. However, we are still connected, vibrationally, to that non-physical world – we have just forgotten that. In the physical world, our communication is through words, actions and our five senses. However, in the non-physical world, communication is through intention. Since we are still connected, on a vibrational level, to that non-physical world, our communication is through intent. We are here to allow joyous creation to flourish, through us, in our lives. We Are Connected We are all spiritual beings, having a physical experience. Just because we live in a physical world where everything is tangible and physically present does not mean that we are no longer connected in a non-physical way to our Source (God, Allah, Buddha, etc.). We are most certainly connected. However, we get distracted by the physical world so easily that we get into habitual routines that blind us to that connection. It’s still there, although we are unable to see or …

Choose Happy

“IF YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY You have to be happy on purpose. When you wake up, you can’t just wait to see what kind of day you’ll have. You have to DECIDE what kind of day you’ll have.” ~ Joel Olsteen This is a practice that I have made a habit of every morning and it has made all the difference in my days. Each morning when I awake, my first thought is “I am SO joyful”. It’s taken some time for me to make that a habit, but I’ve done it and so you can too. That first split second when you are fully awake, you have the ABSOLUTE power to determine your day. Each day when I have decided that I am joyful, my day goes so much better.  I deal with people easier, my demeanor is happier and up beat, my day goes by so much simpler and my energy resonates with others. Each morning I “choose happy” and I am blessed for it. You can be as well. Get in the …

Birds Of A Feather: Surround Yourself With Like-Minded People

We’ve all heard the phrase, “Birds of a feather flock together”.   The phrase is commonly used in terms of people who tend to have the same kinds of ideas, values and morals, hang out together.   We as people, like birds, tend to migrate to those who are like ourselves and believe in the same things we do. However,  what happens when we are trying to change our thoughts, habits and beliefs while we are still surrounded by our families and co-workers who we happen to spend a majority of our time with?  What are we to do then? Changing Flocks If you are looking to make a change in your life or even if you just want to add a little something new to it, you can look for like-minded individuals that will support what you want to accomplish.  Sometime you need to take a proactive approach to finding these types of  people, groups or communities.  In doing so, others of the same mindset, interests and belief systems will migrate towards you on their own. …

10 Ways To Own Your Power

For the life of me, I cannot remember where I got this list.  I had it glued in a small note book I used to carry around with me.  Came across it and thought it was worth the share – words to definitely live by! 10 Ways To Own Your Power 1. Remember, the only question ever worth asking:  What do I want to happen? 2. The only activity ever worth doing is: Dreaming up a better world, relationship, bank account, health prognosis or career. 3. The only reality you ever need to accept is the one you want to happen. 4. Stand in front of the mirror and say, “I’VE got the POWER!” Walk around saying that until you giggle.  Now your life is headed in the right direction. 5. Whenever you have a choice to make, base your decision on this question: “will it make me feel powerful or pitiful to do this?” if the answer is powerful – that’s a yes.  Will it make me feel powerful or pitiful to take that …

To Choose or Not To Choose

“No choice is also a choice.” ~ Yiddish Proverb This is SO true. So many times over the years, I’ve heard on different occasions from different people, “I didn’t have a choice” or “I don’t have a choice”. What many don’t seem to understand that NOT choosing, is a choice in and of itself. Whenever you do one thing over another, that is a choice. Despite it feeling as if you don’t have one, you are, in fact, making one. Whenever you take one path, rather than another, that is a choice. And in all actuality, doing nothing, IS a choice as well. We are a people with free will. Every aspect of our lives, despite how oppressed we feel or how downtrodden, we have free will, a choice, to either continue in that situation or making something else out of it. Nothing and no one can EVER take your choices or free will away. Why? Because that gift was given to you by God, and there is nothing on this earth that can take …

Just One Thing

Many of us feel overwhelmed with all the things we want to do.  But we mustn’t allow ourselves to feel like we have to accomplish every thing all at once. Just pick one thing to do today.  Or just one thing to focus on.  It’ll take away the overwhelming feeling if you just concentrate on one thing. Do you want to save money?  Then pick one way you can cut back on spending and  put that amount away.  Can you handle just having 2 cups of Starbuck’s coffee instead of 3? Do you want to lose weight?  Then pick one thing to create a new habit.  Drink water with meals instead of that soda.  Add an extra serving of vegetables at dinner instead of reaching for that extra roll. I recently started drinking green smoothies and without even trying, I’ve lost 2 lbs and some inches.  I also decided to save some money by doing the 52 Week Money Challenge.  It starts off small, so you can get used to saving without feeling overwhelmed. The …

It’s Not BS!

As I mentioned in my last post, I am reading “Working With The Law” by Raymond Holliwell.  So, I have been ruminating over the recent chapter I read, “Law of Attraction”.  I know, I know, people hear that phrase and then roll their eyes, but stick with me for a moment, because it’s not BS! What it is, is one of the 12 Universal Laws.  These Laws govern our world whether we are conscious of them or not.  For instance, the Law of Gravity, the Law of Relativity and the Law of Cause & Effect, just to name a few.  We live by them daily.  They are all natural laws.  As an ever growing and enlightened society we are coming to realize how to recognize and work with these laws on a conscious level to improve our lives.  As an example, let us look at the Law of Rhythm.  People enjoy sitting on the beach watching the tide roll in, watching how, as time goes by, the water gets closer and closer and the same …

Progression vs. Being Tested

“Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.” ~ Winston Churchill  Recently, my dear friend Stephanie Mazzella and I decided to start a mini-book club with just the two of us and our book choice is Working With The Law by Raymond Holliwell.  I am loving this book because he takes each natural law of the universe and discusses it at length with an ease and simplicity that makes it all too impossible not to get it. During the chapter “Law of Supply” we went of on a tangent about the progression of man.  Stephanie asked me if anywhere in our church’s doctrine are we actually told we’re placed here to be tested and I can honestly say, that no, that’s not what we were taught.  We’ve been taught that we are …
