Why The Importance of Feeling Good?

We are a feeling universe. We are a vibrational universe. We originated from a non-physical world into a physical world. However, we are still connected, vibrationally, to that non-physical world – we have just forgotten that.

In the physical world, our communication is through words, actions and our five senses. However, in the non-physical world, communication is through intention. Since we are still connected, on a vibrational level, to that non-physical world, our communication is through intent. We are here to allow joyous creation to flourish, through us, in our lives.

We Are Connected

We are all spiritual beings, having a physical experience. Just because we live in a physical world where everything is tangible and physically present does not mean that we are no longer connected in a non-physical way to our Source (God, Allah, Buddha, etc.). We are most certainly connected.

However, we get distracted by the physical world so easily that we get into habitual routines that blind us to that connection. It’s still there, although we are unable to see or feel it because we are heavily distracted by the day to day happenings in our physical world. We hold on to habits that cause us too unknowingly “resist” that connection. It’s not on purpose – it’s simply an unconscious behavior that we have accepted based on all the experiences we’ve had throughout our lives. We’ve made those experiences into road maps of how we travel our lives today. It doesn’t have to be that way.

Toss that old road map away and start your new journey.

A connection to the non-physical world is basically like a radio signal that’s being broadcasted. Let’s say you want to listen to 101.5 FM. Would you tune your radio to 98.5 AM and expect to get the music you want? No, that’s impossible. changing-frequency

You have to be tuned into the right signal in order to get the music you want. It’s the same with the non-physical connection. You have to be tuned into it.

The Power Of You

It is important to be in the right frame of mind. It is important and powerful to feel good about how things are right now. yes, it may be difficult to contemplate considering how things may be for you at this moment, but it is important to understand how powerful feeling good now, no matter what, can be to you changing your circumstances. There is so much in your life that you have to be thankful for. If you just take a few moments to really think about it, you will find things to be pleased with – your health, your family, etc.

You hold the power to change things. You have absolute control over how things can change for the better in your life. You alone hold the key to unlocking your desires for success, happiness and joyful living.

Living A Conscious Life

Start Living Consciously is about helping you better understand yourself and others around you. Through your life experiences you can get a better understanding of how you got to where you are and how to get to where you want to be. It is my hope that you can find clarity through awareness. Your life is about living. Not just existing or surviving. It’s about living in a continual expression of who you truly are, who you are truly meant to be. By rediscovering that connection to the non-physical Source Energy, your understanding of your true nature, your true self, your true purpose will unfold before you with such clarity that you will be amazed.

We only take in what we are meant to take in at any given moment. We process things differently at different times in our lives. Whenever we read something, we gain whatever insight we may need to gain at that time in our lives. At another time, we may reread the same thing and get a totally different insight. Our “openness” determines what we receive into ourselves. Once you can understand this power within you, you get a better understanding of your relationship with God and all you really are. This understanding will open so much within you. You will see the powerful potential that lies within you to be, do and have.

You are the creator and author of your experiences. You have complete control of over what you bring into your life once you become aware of the self-power you have within you. You create your now by becoming clear and aware of where you are in your life right now and consciously deciding how you want your “now” to be.
It is relatively easy to reconnect with your non-physical self. It just takes focus and an awareness of you being more than just a physical body. Once again, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.

This will be a very fun and enlightening journey. I have learned so much and have experienced great insights as well as having seen physical manifestations of desires I have focused on and have attracted into my life in the form or people and circumstances. There is so much self-power within you that is just a vibration away from your physical world – you just have to reconnect.

Choose Happy

“IF YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY
You have to be happy on purpose.
When you wake up, you can’t just wait to see what kind of day you’ll have.
You have to DECIDE what kind of day you’ll have.” ~ Joel Olsteen

This is a practice that I have made a habit of every morning and it has made all the difference in my days.

Each morning when I awake, my first thought is “I am SO joyful”. It’s taken some time for me to make that a habit, but I’ve done it and so you can too.

That first split second when you are fully awake, you have the ABSOLUTE power to determine your day. Each day when I have decided that I am joyful, my day goes so much better.  I deal with people easier, my demeanor is happier and up beat, my day goes by so much simpler and my energy resonates with others.ChooseHappinessEach morning I “choose happy” and I am blessed for it. You can be as well.

Get in the habit of choosing your happy each morning as soon as you wake up. Don’t wait until after all the “noise” interrupts your mind. Do it IMMEDIATELY upon waking. You will notice the difference and impact immediately.

Choose Happy and Happy will choose you!

Birds Of A Feather: Surround Yourself With Like-Minded People

We’ve all heard the phrase, “Birds of a feather flock together”.   The phrase is commonly used in terms of people who tend to have the same kinds of ideas, values and morals, hang out together.   We as people, like birds, tend to migrate to those who are like ourselves and believe in the same things we do.

However,  what happens when we are trying to change our thoughts, habits and beliefs while we are still surrounded by our families and co-workers who we happen to spend a majority of our time with?  What are we to do then?

Changing Flocks

If you are looking to make a change in your life or even if you just want to add a little something new to it, you can look for like-minded individuals that will support what you want to accomplish.  Sometime you need to take a proactive approach to finding these types of  people, groups or communities.  In doing so, others of the same mindset, interests and belief systems will migrate towards you on their own.

My Change

At a certain point in my life I was in a very dark and depressed state.   It took some time, but I decided that what was occurring was not how I wanted my life to be going.  So I learned, through reading and study, that I had complete control over how I could live my life;  by acting instead of reactingI also realized that having like-minded people in my life would keep me on my  path.  People like Stephanie Smith Mazzella and listening to Dave Mac Arthur’s podcasts.  I also wanted to rediscover and explore my creative side, so I joined The Documented Life Project and discovered mixed media art.

Important Things To Remember

The most important aspect of finding, interacting and learning from like-minded people and/or groups is the climate of those relationships.

In your desire for change, it is important to remember that change is about growing and becoming a better you.  So you should be interacting with people who are uplifting and supportive.

The groups that I chose to be a part of are about sharing, learning, growing and support.  This is what you want to be looking for in your own path towards change.

I would love to read your thoughts on this.  Please feel free to share a comment below and don’t forget to share the post with your like-minded friends.

10 Ways To Own Your Power

For the life of me, I cannot remember where I got this list.  I had it glued in a small note book I used to carry around with me.  Came across it and thought it was worth the share – words to definitely live by!

10 Ways To Own Your Power

1. Remember, the only question ever worth asking:  What do I want to happen?
2. The only activity ever worth doing is: Dreaming up a better world, relationship, bank account, health prognosis or career.
3. The only reality you ever need to accept is the one you want to happen.
4. Stand in front of the mirror and say, “I’VE got the POWER!” Walk around saying that until you giggle.  Now your life is headed in the right direction.
5. Whenever you have a choice to make, base your decision on this question: “will it make me feel powerful or pitiful to do this?” if the answer is powerful – that’s a yes.  Will it make me feel powerful or pitiful to take that job, start that business, write that book, invest in that property, get into that relationship, or say those words?
6. Your choice always has to be for your powerful self, because that’s where your brilliance and inspiration lives. That’s where you stop insulting your own divinity – the fabric you were made from which is divine source energy.
7. Quit living like a rat in a maze.  Get the eagle’s view of your life – the big picture.  Figure out who you want to end up being, and turn your car around now.
8. Remember, you have no one to blame for any circumstances in your life.  Every external circumstance (from your bank account balance to your health) is a result of your inner thoughts and beliefs about what is possible for you.
9. Give up “wanting to change” or “needing to change.”  That comes from a state of pitifulness – not magnificence.  Either do it or don’t do it.  Quit WANTING anything to happen.
10. Remember, it’s never a problem.  It’s a frequency.  Change your energy frequency from pitiful to powerful, and the problem dissolves.  You become part of the force, part of divinity, and all obstacles dissolve in your path.

To Choose or Not To Choose

do nothing - go forward“No choice is also a choice.” ~ Yiddish Proverb

This is SO true. So many times over the years, I’ve heard on different occasions from different people, “I didn’t have a choice” or “I don’t have a choice”.

What many don’t seem to understand that NOT choosing, is a choice in and of itself. Whenever you do one thing over another, that is a choice.

Despite it feeling as if you don’t have one, you are, in fact, making one. Whenever you take one path, rather than another, that is a choice.

And in all actuality, doing nothing, IS a choice as well. We are a people with free will. Every aspect of our lives, despite how oppressed we feel or how downtrodden, we have free will, a choice, to either continue in that situation or making something else out of it.

Nothing and no one can EVER take your choices or free will away. Why? Because that gift was given to you by God, and there is nothing on this earth that can take a gift from God away.

Live consciously. Live with awareness & clarity. You will then realize that every step you take, no matter in which direction you take it, is in fact a “choice”. Make yours count!

Just One Thing

i will do one thing todayMany of us feel overwhelmed with all the things we want to do.  But we mustn’t allow ourselves to feel like we have to accomplish every thing all at once.
Just pick one thing to do today.  Or just one thing to focus on.  It’ll take away the overwhelming feeling if you just concentrate on one thing.
Do you want to save money?  Then pick one way you can cut back on spending and  put that amount away.  Can you handle just having 2 cups of Starbuck’s coffee instead of 3?
Do you want to lose weight?  Then pick one thing to create a new habit.  Drink water with meals instead of that soda.  Add an extra serving of vegetables at dinner instead of reaching for that extra roll.

I recently started drinking green smoothies and without even trying, I’ve lost 2 lbs and some inches.  I also decided to save some money by doing the 52 Week Money Challenge.  It starts off small, so you can get used to saving without feeling overwhelmed.

The point is, everything you want to accomplish can be accomplished by simply choosing one thing to focus on today.  What is that one thing that  you can do today that will put you one step closer to your goal?

It’s Not BS!

No BS

As I mentioned in my last post, I am reading “Working With The Law” by Raymond Holliwell.  So, I have been ruminating over the recent chapter I read, “Law of Attraction”.  I know, I know, people hear that phrase and then roll their eyes, but stick with me for a moment, because it’s not BS!

What it is, is one of the 12 Universal Laws.  These Laws govern our world whether we are conscious of them or not.  For instance, the Law of Gravity, the Law of Relativity and the Law of Cause & Effect, just to name a few.  We live by them daily.  They are all natural laws.  As an ever growing and enlightened society we are coming to realize how to recognize and work with these laws on a conscious level to improve our lives.  tides

As an example, let us look at the Law of Rhythm.  People enjoy sitting on the beach watching the tide roll in, watching how, as time goes by, the water gets closer and closer and the same thing happens the next day and the day after that.  Not many people take into account that a universal law is taking place.  Everything has it’s season and rhythm, it’s timing and patterns of development.

When a child is conceived, we know there is a certain amount of time, a pattern of development that must take place before the baby is born.  We know that an idea needs a certain amount of time to be developed before coming to fruition.  A farmer plants a seed and knows they must wait a certain amount of time before harvesting.  That is just example of one of the 12 Universal Laws that exist around us.  Law that we can become conscious of and use to better enrich our lives and the lives of others.

As I mentioned earlier, The Law of Attraction tends to get a bad rap, but just like the other laws, it exists in real time and can be used.  All it is, is DESIRE + ACTION + EXPECTATION = RESULTS.  That’s it.  Where we go wrong is the Expectation part.  We desire something greatly but still harbor a seed of doubt.  We set ourselves up for failure.

If  you want to get spiritual about it, let’s talk Faith.  Faith (Desire) is things hoped for and not seen.  You won’t receive any witness (Results) of your faith until after the trial (Action & Expectation) of your faith.  Once again, DESIRE + ACTION + EXPECTATION = RESULTS.

It’s not BS people!  These laws exist.  And because they exists they can be worked with.  And because they can be worked with, you can control your life, experiences and outcomes instead of them controlling you.

CHALLENGE:  Desire something, Actively work towards it and Expect it.

  • Pick something out of the ordinary
  • Desire it greatly
  • Act as if you know it’s already yours
  • Expect to receive it
  • Enjoy the Results

I actually tried this myself when I first learned about these laws.  I chose to desire a white rose and really expected to receive it.  A few days later a white rose appeared in a TV commercial and later that day, my daughter gave me a  white rose, the kind that is part of a decorative floral arrangement that she had found while cleaning out her room.  Mind you, I never said anything to my daughter about my experiment.  So, try it for yourself because if you can manifest something small like that, imagine what else you can do?

Progression vs. Being Tested

“Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.” ~ Winston Churchill

Recently, my dear friend Stephanie Mazzella and I decided to start a mini-book club with just the two of us and our book choice is Working With The Law by Raymond Holliwell.  I am loving this book because he takes each natural law of the universe and discusses it at length with an ease and simplicity that makes it all too impossible not to get it.

During the chapter “Law of Supply” we went of on a tangent about the progression of man.  Stephanie asked me if anywhere in our church’s doctrine are we actually told we’re placed here to be tested and I can honestly say, that no, that’s not what we were taught.  We’ve been taught that we are here, on this earth, to progress.  What we realized is that man tends to take on the belief that we are put on this earth solely to be tested.  A sort of survival course to get through to be deemed worthy at the end of it.  However, I feel as though the  term “being tested” gives off a negative vibe.

I am beginning to suspect that “being tested” is a man made edict.  Raymond Holliwell writes “Man will ever be poor as long as he demands of life a meager living and sees in it a struggle, toil, hardship and limitation”.  If we continue to see life as a test, a struggle, a survival test to get through, that is all it will ever be for us.

Progression on the other hand, is a more positive state of mind.  It suggests life is lived in incremental steps leading upward and onward.  Growth is synonymous with progression.  Therefore, we are here on this earth to grow towards a higher form of, not only consciousness, but of knowledge and spirituality.

When I think of “test”, I think of passing or failing.  However, when thinking about “progression”, I think of growing and evolving.  Which do you choose to think about?

Saving Time & Money Is Key

time and money“My favorite things in life don’t cost any money.  It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.”  ~ Steve Jobs

[Day 20] of The 30 Day Blog Challenge is all about finding the key resources that will both save you time and money in your online business.   30 Day Blog ChallengeOne of the first important factors, as stated by Natalie Sisson of The Suitcase Entrepreneur is to register your domain and create  your website.  Your website is your online fingerprint.  It’s your unique presence on the web.  Creating your website shouldn’t be complicated with all the great resources available to you now.  Natalie suggested Hostgator which has several hosting options based on your business’s size and needs.  I took her advise and opened an account with them.  I’m currently working on my site and hope to have it up and running soon!

I’m still in the beginning steps of my business, so picking and choosing which resources to use to save me time and money is a bit over my head for now.  However, when the time comes for me to offer digital products, I’m very interested in learning more about Gumroad.  It’s seems relatively easy and quick to set up and use for selling your digital products directly from your website.

Not sure if my third resource, which I currently use, would be categorized as saving time & money, but it does keep my on track with writing.  I currently use Penzu to write my blog out before posting it.  I really enjoy the daily prompts I get to remind to start writing.  With so many distractions, having the friendly reminder sure helps out.

My business is in it infancy so I am still navigating my way through everything that’s out there to help streamline and grow.  I still have to learn about growing my tribe, reaching target audiences and so much more.  But through The 30 Day Blog Challenge, I have learned that there are SO many resources, guides and tips out there to make growing your passion business easier and less painful.  So glad to know there’s help out there when you need it!
